Anini Beach

Located on the north shore of Kauai, Anini Beach is known for its prime windsurfing conditions and excellent views of the famous coral reef that circles the island. This reef is the widest fringing reef in the Hawaiian Islands.

At Anini Beach you can sink your toes into the pillowy sand and walk into the water without having to worry about sharp rocks or coral poking your feet. The beach is a famous spot for sea turtle spotting, and many people consider it the best place to snorkel in all of Hawaii.

If you want to be a stone's throw away, there are plenty of cottages nearby to choose from. However, the beach also has parking that is readily available. While a polar destination, Anini Beach still remains somewhat secluded, and it is fairly easy to find a quiet spot in the sand to post up and relax for the day. It is the perfect place to shut out the noise and get lost in a good book. Other available actives offered include paddle boarding, camping, fishing, and of course swimming and beach strolling.

There are restrooms, showers, camping permits and picnic tables available onsite, so you can really make it a vacation within a vacation if you want.
